Shifted in at the start and was bumped. Apprentice E C W Wong (HARMONY N BLESSED) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 1000 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of BRAVE STAR, resulting in BRAVE STAR being taken in onto GUSTOSISIMO, resulting in GUSTOSISIMO being badly crowded for room, becoming unbalanced and making contact with STELLAR EXPRESS, also resulting in STELLAR EXPRESS being crowded for room. Apprentice Wong was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Sunday, 30 March 2025 at Sha Tin. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his very good race riding record. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Began well, raced better than midfield on the inside, easy run to turn, finished off strongly to take 2nd, just beaten by a narrow margin.

Bumped on jumping. In the Home Straight lay in under pressure. Near the 100 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving into a tight run between SUPERB CAPITALIST and HARMONY N BLESSED.

Shortly after the start was crowded between SUPERB CAPITALIST and SON PAK FU, both of which shifted ground slightly. Near the 1000 Metres was crowded between GUSTOSISIMO and BUNDLE OF CHARM. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped shortly after start, raced 2 wide towards rear, 3 wide on turn, made little progress in straight.

After the event, L Hewitson stated that from barrier 7 with the anticipated fast early pace he was given the option of riding the horse in a conservative manner if it did not jump well and show sufficient pace to cross runners to its inside. Trainer M Newnham confirmed the instructions issued and stated that FULL CREDIT was disappointing in its failure to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer”.

After the event, A Badel stated that from a wide barrier he was obliged to make some use of his mount in the early stages to go forward. He said as a result BRAVE STAR finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
