Jumped with them, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1-1/2L turning in, peaked and headed 250M, weakened final 150M. (See Racing Incidents.)

Shortly after the start was taken in and bumped on the hindquarters. Approaching the 300 Metres was held up for clear running. Sent for sampling post-race.

Was examined by the Veterinary Officer after arriving at the Start and passed suitable to race. Bumped at the start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Out with rest, raced 2 wide slightly behind midfield, angled out 550M, 5-1/2L back turning in, made good progress in straight to make frame without threatening.

When questioned, L Ferraris stated that with his mount stepping up in distance to 1600 Metres and a number of noted leaders in the race, he was instructed to find a position behind the lead with cover. He said in the early stages he was able to comply with those instructions when crossed by VOYAGE SAMURAI where MY WISH travelled comfortably. He said entering the Home Straight when positioned between VOYAGE SAMURAI and PRESTIGE ALWAYS he commenced to look for a run to the outside of PRESTIGE ALWAYS when there was no other option available to him. He said as he commenced to shift out, PRESTIGE ALWAYS then shifted out which resulted in a run becoming available between VOYAGE SAMURAI and PRESTIGE ALWAYS. He added as he was committed to continue to the outside of PRESTIGE ALWAYS, he continued to do so but experienced difficulty obtaining clear running for some distance near the 300 Metres when PRESTIGE ALWAYS continued to shift out. Trainer M Newnham confirmed the instructions issued. After considering his explanation, the Stewards found the tactics adopted by Jockey Ferraris were reasonable in the circumstances. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was bumped by HUGE WAVE which was taken in by MIDORI FUJI. For some distance after the 350 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.

Away well, raced 2 wide in midfield, 5 lengths back turning in, made some progress in straight.

Taken back from gate 10, raced 2 wide at rear, 7 lengths back, same margin back on turn, passed some tired runners in straight.

Jumped only fairly. Near the 300 Metres was contacted on the hindquarters by MIDORI FUJI and became unbalanced.

Jumped well, raced in 2nd, a length or so back, same position on turn, finished off evenly.

After the event, Z Purton reported that his mount was unsuited with the pace of the event being run outside of standard time in the middle stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Away with them, positioned 5 lengths behind the leader on the inside, 2 wide after passing 500M, same margin back turning in, showed limited response early in straight, weakened inside final furlong.

Moderately away from gate 1, raced better than midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened and eased inside final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Briefly held up near the 400 Metres. Near the 150 Metres was steadied and shifted to the inside of VOYAGE SAMURAI to continue into clear running.

Slightly slow out, raced towards rear on the inside, 7 lengths back, same position on turn, made no impression in straight.

Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running. Over the final 100 Metres was held up behind PRESTIGE ALWAYS and as a result was unable to be ridden out to the finish of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Near the 300 Metres was steadied when crowded between PRESTIGE GOOD and MY WISH (L Ferraris) which shifted out. L Ferraris was advised to exercise more care.

Quickly into stride, raced in 3rd, 2 wide, 1 to 2 lengths back turning in, hit the front 250M, kept on well to the line and scored.
