For some distance leaving the 1100 Metres was restrained from the heels of YEE CHEONG RAIDER. From the 450 Metres to the 150 Metres was badly held up for clear running.

Jumped with them, raced in midfield, 3 wide, similar position on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened gradually inside final furlong.

A Hamelin was found guilty of a careless riding charge for causing interference after the 1300 Metres (see GOLD MASTER). Near the 250 Metres A Hamelin dropped his whip.

Away well, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, challenged the leader turning in, took the lead early in straight, peaked and headed 250M, weakened gradually final 100M.

Bumped at the start. For some distance approaching the 300 Metres lay in and was reluctant to shift to the outside of ATOMIC BEAUTY and as a result had difficulty obtaining clear running. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when FLYING LUCK was shifted to the outside of BEAUTY ALLIANCE to obtain clear running. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped on jumping, raced behind midfield on the outside, 6 lengths back turning in, made some headway in straight.

Average to begin, raced 2 wide slightly better than midfield, 2-3/4L back turning in, finished off well to take 2nd, no threat to the winner.

A Hamelin (I AM THE BOSS) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that after the 1300 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of SOLID WIN, resulting in SOLID WIN being taken in onto VIVA CHALEUR, resulting in VIVA CHALEUR being taken in towards GOLD MASTER which resulted in GOLD MASTER losing its rightful running between YEE CHEONG RAIDER and VIVA CHALEUR, striking the heels of VIVA CHALEUR and blundering badly. A Hamelin was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Sunday, 5 January 2025 at Sha Tin. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his excellent race riding record. Near the 1000 Metres, when racing keenly, was steadied away from BEAUTY LIVE. Approaching the 600 Metres raced tight between ORIENTAL SMOKE and YEE CHEONG RAIDER which shifted out slightly.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced towards rear on the inside, 7 lengths or so back, angled out after passing 500M, made no impression in straight.

Jumped only fairly. After the 1300 Metres was steadied when taken wider by WINDICATOR FAMILY. Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Shifted in at start and made contact, raced at rear on the outside, 7 lengths or so back, same margin back on turn, taken wide in straight and made very good progress, nearest finish.

Shifted in at the start and was bumped. Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind ORIENTAL SMOKE. After being shifted to the inside of GOLD MASTER approaching the 150 Metres again had difficulty obtaining clear running over the concluding stages when racing tight between GOLD MASTER and BEAUTY LIVE.

Out with rest, positioned 3 wide, 3 lengths or so back, no cover for the majority of the race, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter.

Moderately away, raced 2 wide behind midfield, angled out 550M, 5 lengths back turning in, made good progress in straight to take a place, no threat to the first two.

Began well, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1/2L, challenged by rival turning in, peaked and headed early in straight, weakened inside final furlong.

After the 1300 Metres was checked to avoid GOLD MASTER and lost ground. For some distance thereafter in the middle stages raced keenly. Near the 200 Metres K Teetan had his whip knocked from his grasp by the whip of L Ferraris, rider of SILVER UP.

Fast into stride, tracked leaders, 3 wide, found rail near 1000M, sat right behind the leader in the middle stages, peaked early in straight, weakened 250M, eased final 150M. (Blood in trachea.)

L Ferraris was warned in relation to using the whip in a forward manner forward of the saddle on two occasions in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began well, in touch, 2 wide, there to turn, took the lead near 250M, kept on strongly to the line and scored.

After the event, B Avdulla stated that the intention was to endeavour to find a position with cover on his mount. He said when caught wide in the early stages he allowed ATOMIC BEAUTY to stride forward to avoid covering additional ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
