Out in line, raced in midfield on rail, saved ground on turn, angled out 350M, finished off strongly to score.

Incident Report
Near the 1100 Metres was steadied to avoid CONRAD THE GREAT when racing keenly. Sent for sampling post-race.

Shifted out at start and made contact, raced towards rear on the inside early, moved a bit closer along the rail in the middle stages, 4 lengths back turning in, angled out early in straight, finished off well to take 2nd.

On jumping shifted out and made contact with CELESTIAL HARMONY. Leaving the 1300 Metres got its head up when being steadied to avoid KASA PAPA. Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres had difficulty clear running when being shifted to the outside of FASHION LEGEND. Sent for sampling post-race.

Clean jump, sent forward to take the lead, led by 3/4L turning in, kept on well in straight but unable to hold off the first two final 50M.

Taken back from the widest draw, raced at rear on the outside, moved a bit closer after passing 1100M, 3 lengths back on turn, very wide into straight, made no impression in the run home.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 1400 Metres was hampered when taken wider by EMERGING STAR.

Bumped start and unbalanced, raced 2 wide towards rear, 6 lengths back turning in, passed some tired runners in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Became unbalanced when bumped on jumping. L Hewitson stated that the intention was to hold a midfield position. He said from his wide barrier he was obliged to settle slightly further back than intended to ensure that his mount obtained cover.

A Atzeni stated that with the middle stages being run outside of standard time he commenced a forward move which resulted in TO INFINITY racing wide and without cover from the 1000 Metres. He said as a result TO INFINITY finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back from gate 10, raced at rear, travelled keenly in the early stages, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened thereafter.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Raced keenly in the early stages. Approaching the 1400 Metres shifted out when being checked to avoid TO INFINITY. EMERGING STAR continued to race keenly in the middle stages and near the 1100 Metres was steadied to avoid CELESTIAL HARMONY. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped with them, raced behind midfield, very wide turning in, failed to close off in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Leaving the 1300 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied to avoid VIVA BOSS. OUR LUCKY GLORY then continued to race keenly in the middle stages and near the 1100 Metres got its head up when being steadied to avoid VIVA BOSS. A Badel could offer no explanation for the horse’s failure to run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped well, raced 2 wide in midfield, 3 lengths back turning in, showed no response early in straight, weakened and eased final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

Z Purton stated that the only excuse he could offer for his mount’s disappointing performance was that it was reluctant to race amongst other horses. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of VIVA BOSS, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, VIVA BOSS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
