Reserved in midfield 6Ls off the steady pace, switched to 3-wide making the turn for home, quickened up impressively from 400M, led mid-straight before powering away to win by big margin.

Caught racing wide no cover in midfield, moved up 600M to be tracking the pace turning into straight, kept on steadily to go 2nd mid-straight, no match for the runaway winner.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. J Moreira was reprimanded in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 350 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Chased leaders in a steadily run race, close enough top of the straight, kept battling to the line and got up for 3rd close home.

From draw 14 moved up to track leader, pressed along 500M to be challenging for the lead, peaked on its run 200M, couldn't go on. (Trainer - instructed jockey to go forward from wide barrier.)

In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1400 Metres shifted in when being steadied to obtain a position with cover behind VICTOR SUPREME. E Brown pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference leaving the 1400 Metres (see SMILING ONE). A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped only fairly. E Brown (LEAPING STAR) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that leaving the 1400 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of SMILING ONE, resulting in SMILING ONE having to be checked. E Brown was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Wednesday, 15 July 2026 at Happy Valley. In addition, in accordance with previous practices, Jockey Brown was fined $40,000. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record. The performance of SMILING ONE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SMILING ONE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

From draw 3 settled down in midfield along the inside, couldn't go on turning into straight, weakened rapidly to finish tailed out. (Unacceptable Performance.)

The performance of MISSION GIANT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, MISSION GIANT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
