Taken back from gate 9, raced behind midfield on the inside, angled out 350M, kept on same pace in straight.

After the event, Z Purton stated that his instructions were from a wide barrier to ride his mount in a midfield position with cover. Trainer J Richards confirmed the instructions and said such instructions were issued on the basis that STORMING DRAGON had not been finishing its races off strongly when racing in an on-pace position. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well, raced prominently, 2 wide, 1/2L back, same position on turn, hit the front 200M, kept on well to the line and scored.

Approaching the 300 Metres was held up for clear running between PERFECT GENERAL and GREENWICH. Near the 200 Metres was then badly crowded between GREENWICH which commenced to give ground and PERFECT GENERAL which shifted in before being corrected by its rider H Bowman. As a result, BEAUTY DESTINY did not obtain clear running until near the 150 Metres.

Bumped shortly after start, raced 2 wide better than midfield early, found rail near 800M, saved ground on turn, unable to obtain clear run until final 50M, finished off well to take 2nd.

Bumped at the start. Approaching the 100 Metres was brushed when racing in restricted room between GREENWICH and TOP SCORER which shifted out slightly.

Out in line, trapped very wide in midfield early, slightly taken back after passing 1000M, raced 3 wide with cover behind midfield in the middle stages, very wide turning in, made minor progress in straight.

Making the first turn passing the 1000 Metres raced keenly when crowded for room between GREENWICH and PERFECT GENERAL which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider when over-racing. Lay out on the Home Turn.

Out with rest, raced in midfield, 3 wide, carried wider approaching 400M, very wide into straight and lost place, finished off evenly.

Incident Report
Jumped only fairly. Near the 150 Metres shifted in slightly, resulting in its rider H Bowman having to stop riding and correct his mount. When questioned, H Bowman stated that his mount jumped only fairly and then in the early stages he endeavoured to obtain a position with cover behind NEW POWER. He said when PERFECT GENERAL commenced to race keenly, he was obliged to maintain his position to the outside of NEW POWER, however, PERFECT GENERAL over-raced through the early and middle stages and refused to settle. He added as a consequence PERFECT GENERAL was unable to finish the race off strongly in the Home Straight. Trainer C Fownes concurred with the views of Jockey Bowman that PERFECT GENERAL was disadvantaged by the manner in which it raced throughout the early and middle stages of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began awkwardly, taken back to race at rear, 5 lengths back turning in, unable to obtain clear run in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Shifted in at the start and was bumped. After the event, B Avdulla stated that his mount, which was having its first race start at Happy Valley, had difficulty making the turns and would derive benefit from tonight’s experience. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back to race 2 wide behind midfield, wider 400M, failed to close off in straight. (Blood in trachea.) (See Racing Incidents.)

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced at tail, 6 lengths or so back, same margin back on turn, made good progress in straight to be nearest on line.

Crowded shortly after start, positioned 3 wide, a length or so back, 2 wide from 800M, 3 wide turning in, kept on well in straight to take a place without threatening.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. <17/10/2024 Additional Veterinary Reports> The Veterinary Surgeon reported that MY DAY MY WAY was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, MY DAY MY WAY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Jumped with them, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1/2L turning in, peaked and headed 200M, weakened final 50M.

Making the first turn was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced. When giving ground approaching the 100 Metres was steadied when crowded between NEW POWER and BEAUTY DESTINY. After the event, M F Poon stated that with the early pace of the event being run inside standard time he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to take up a position outside the lead. He said as a consequence GREENWICH was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped shortly after start, raced 2 wide in midfield, angled out approaching 400M, very wide into straight, made some progress in the run home, not able to challenge.
