Began well from gate 1, raced in midfield on the inside, 2 wide turning in, showed good response in straight, took the lead 100M, kept on well to the line and scored.

Jumped well from a wide draw, raced better than midfield on the outside, 2 lengths or so back turning in, closed the race off well despite hanging in final 50M. (See Racing Incidents.)

When questioned regarding his riding out of BINGO BABE to the finish M F Poon stated that under pressure in the Home Straight his mount was inclined to lay in. He said passing the 50 Metres he commenced to shorten his reins to maintain control of the horse but as he did so he dropped his left rein which resulted in BINGO BABE shifting in and he having to stop riding in an attempt to regather his reins. He added that as this took some time to do so he was not able to fully ride BINGO BABE out to the finish of the race. M F Poon was advised he should ensure, wherever possible, that he maintains control of his reins. Sent for sampling post-race.

Average to begin, raced 2 wide in midfield, angled out 400M, made some progress in straight to take a place, no threat to the first two.

Near the 600 Metres commenced to race keenly and shifted out when being steadied away from EXCEED THE WISH. As a result BRAVE WIN raced wide and without cover thereafter. C Y Ho reported that his mount lay out throughout the event and finished the race off only fairly. He said the horse may be suited by being stepped up in distance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

K Teetan stated that his mount finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight and may not have appreciated the "Good to Firm” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.

Jumped only fairly, taken back to race at rear on the outside, very wide into straight, made no impression in straight.

Jumped only fairly. From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages. H T Mo was warned in relation to using his whip on a horse that was out of contention.

Slowly away, raced towards rear on the inside, 6 lengths back turning in, failed to close off in straight.
