Always thereabouts with rails run, taken some 2L back in 3rd 1200M out, commenced move on straightening and hit the front 300M out, soon drew clear.

Settled not far off on rail, drifted some 4L off the pace in 5th about 1200M out, slightly closer into home straight, fought on under pressure to reach 2.5L 2nd 100M out but without threatening.

Began well from the widest barrier before taking back to share 7th 3-wide after the first 300M, drifted some 6L back to 9th 1200M out, fought on steadily under pressure inside final 300M to claim 4th 50M out.

Soon taken back across for rails run in last few after beginning from a wide barrier, saved ground on rail turning in for home, ran on under pressure until finding no extra inside final 100M.

C Y Ho replaced E Brown as the rider of THE BOOM BOX. Jockey Brown was fined the sum of $2,000 for being unable to make the weight on THE BOOM BOX. In assessing penalty the Stewards took into account his good record and the fact that he notified the Stewards prior to the commencement of betting.

Towards rear most of the way, ran on past well-beaten horses inside final 200M.

Soon recovered from slow start along the rail to rear of midfield, angled off the rail for a run entering home straight but baulked until the 350M, kept on same pace without threatening on the run to the line.

Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Approaching the 350 Metres was briefly held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of AERODYNAMICS. C Williams reported that his mount was making a respiratory noise after the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Gradually settled 3-wide with cover in last few, came under pressure from a similar position into straight, kept on steadily without quickening.

A Atzeni stated that his mount was advantaged by the "Soft” track conditions over 2000 Metres at its most recent start. He said today ENTHUSIUM on the "Good to Firm” track conditions finished the race off only fairly, particularly being back in distance for today’s event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Apprentice H Y Yuen stated that the instructions were to hold a midfield position. She said JOY OF SPRING was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Took up running narrowly shortly after start, kicked some 2L clear 1100M out, had no more to give when headed 300M out.

Settled well behind on rail after beginning from a wide barrier, travelled keenly from 1300M out while trailing the field on rail, detached early in straight but ran past well-beaten runners under pressure inside final 150M.

Shortly after the start was steadied when racing tight to the inside of SERAPH GABRIEL which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider. Y L Chung stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages.

Ridden after moderate start and checked on heels twice when travelling keenly in early stages, shared 6th 2-wide over 4L back rounding home bend, weakened under pressure approaching home turn.

Jumped only fairly. J Moreira stated that the horse raced too keenly throughout the event and as a result did not run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of LO RIDER, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, LO RIDER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Broke well from a wide barrier to join the leaders 3-wide, taken one back for cover 1400M out, remained wide on home bend and into straight, folded up quickly upon straightening.

Shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped on the hindquarters by FALLON. Z Purton stated that when under pressure in the Home Straight his mount did not respond and when he was concerned there was something amiss with it near the 300 Metres he eased it down from the event. Trainer M Newnham stated that the horse had pleased him leading into the race and was at a loss to explain today’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of AERODYNAMICS, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, AERODYNAMICS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
