Made contact at start, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1-1/2L turning in, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 100M, weakened gradually close home, finished 2nd.

Approaching the 150 Metres shifted in and bumped OUR LUCKY GLORY. Sent for sampling post-race.

Moderately away, raced behind midfield on outer, no cover for the majority of the race, very wide into straight, failed to close off in straight. (Rider reported that his saddle shifted back on jumping.)

Jumped only fairly. Near the 1100 Metres was steadied to avoid FLYING FORTUNE when racing keenly. From the 800 Metres commenced a forward move and then was obliged to race wide and without cover thereafter. Sent for sampling post-race.

Out with rest, raced in midfield on the outside, 4 to 5 lengths back turning in, closed off well to make frame without threatening.

Noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Approaching the 700 Metres was steadied to avoid DECISION LINK when that runner shifted out slightly. Over the concluding stages lay in and made contact with COLOURFUL GAN, resulting in its rider C Y Ho having difficulty in riding his mount out to the finish of the race.

Crowded start, raced 2 wide towards rear, angled out 350M, 7 to 8 lengths back turning in, made some progress in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Shortly after the start became unbalanced when crowded between LUCK IS BACK and FORTUNE STAR which shifted in. Held up for clear running on the Home Turn. Over the concluding stages made contact with FLYING FORTUNE when that runner lay in.

Slowly away, raced at rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened inside final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

Shifted in shortly after the start and made contact with COLOURFUL GAN.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced at rear on the outside, still 9 Ls back turning in, made good progress in straight without threatening.

Near the 1100 Metres commenced to race keenly and was steadied to avoid DECISION LINK.

Jumped well from gate 11, raced better than midfield on the outside, 3Ls back turning in, finished off evenly.

M Chadwick stated that his mount did not travel well throughout the event and was obliged to race wide and without cover until near the 800 Metres before being unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Commenced well, raced 2 wide slightly behind midfield, 6 lengths or so back turning in, failed to make any progress in straight.

Approaching the 1400 Metres ANOTHER ZONDA (M Chadwick) improved to the inside of OUR LUCKY GLORY, resulting in LUCKY TOGETHER then racing in restricted room to the inside of ANOTHER ZONDA. When OUR LUCKY GLORY then shifted in slightly ANOTHER ZONDA shifted in onto LUCKY TOGETHER, resulting in LUCKY TOGETHER having to be checked. M Chadwick was severely reprimanded and advised in similar circumstances he would be expected to ensure that there is sufficient room when improving to the inside of other runners. Near the 1100 Metres was steadied to avoid NORTHERN BEAST when racing keenly. Near the 700 Metres was steadied to avoid FLYING FORTUNE. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began smartly from gate 1, raced in 2nd, 1-1/2L back turning in, showed very good response in straight, took the lead approaching 100M, kept on well to the line and scored.

C L Chau reported that the instructions were to hold an on-pace position. He said SURE JOYFUL was obliged to race wide for the majority of the event when unable to hold a more forward position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped awkwardly and then was steadied to avoid OUR LUCKY GLORY which shifted out. Raced keenly for some distance near the 1100 Metres. Near the 700 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of LUCKY TOGETHER.

Away with them, raced behind midfield on the inside, 7 lengths or so back turning in, made some headway in straight.

R Kingscote stated that with his mount stepping up in distance he was instructed to hold a handy position. He said when caught wide in the early stages he elected to allow the horse to stride forward and lead to avoid covering additional ground. Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
