Jumped with them, raced behind midfield on the outside, commenced move 800M, took the lead approaching 700M, headed 500M, kept on well until final 100M, stayed on evenly to take a place.

The explanation provided by L Ferraris, rider of ISLAND BUDDY, in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 50 Metres was accepted.

Jumped well, sent forward to take the lead, headed approaching 700M, retook the lead 500M, kept on very well in straight and won by a length. (See Racing Incidents.)

Jumped awkwardly and then made contact with INCREDIBLE MOMENT due to both runners shifting ground. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Taken back from the widest draw, raced 2 wide towards rear, 4 lengths or so back turning in, angled out early in straight, cleared 300M, finished off evenly.

Held up making the Home Turn and near the 450 Metres blundered. A Badel stated that his mount bounded on jumping and lost ground which resulted in HONORARY racing further back in the field than intended.

Began only fairly, raced at rear on the outside, improved on turn, 2 to 3 lengths back turning in, finished off well to take 2nd without threatening the winner.

E Brown stated that his mount gave ground in the Home Straight and may not have appreciated the "Good to Yielding” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, ANODE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Out with rest, raced 2 wide better than midfield, there to turn, showed limited response early in straight, kept on same pace to the line.

The performance of CASA BUDDY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, CASA BUDDY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
