Jumped only fairly. Near the 1000 Metres got its head up when being shifted in behind BRIGHT DAY to obtain cover. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when it improved behind QUARTZ LEGEND.

Jumped only fairly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 800 Metres became momentarily unbalanced when positioned to the inside of BRIGHT DAY. H Bentley could offer no excuse for the horse’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with THE COSMIC POWER. L Hewitson stated that he was given the option of holding a forward position depending on how his mount jumped. He said when RUSSET GLOW commenced well he elected to go forward but was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event. He added the wide run contributed to RUSSET GLOW giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
