Had its right hind plate adjusted in the saddling stalls, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Leaving the 900 Metres commenced to race keenly and got its head up when being steadied to avoid ENJOY GOLF.

Near the 650 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by SPEEDY PATCH. E C W Wong stated that from the outside barrier he was instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages. Trainer C Fownes confirmed the instructions issued.

C L Chau stated that his mount hung out in the middle stages. He added when under pressure in the Home Straight his mount continued to hang out and proved difficult to ride out. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bounded on jumping and lost ground. Throughout the middle stages raced ungenerously and near the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid MIGHTY FIGHTER. Near the 650 Metres shifted out and made contact with CHARMING LEGEND. C Y Ho reported that when he was not satisfied with the horse’s action in the Home Straight he did not ride it out to the finish of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, SPEEDY PATCH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
