Jumped with them, raced 2 wide in midfield, improved after passing 800M, challenged the leader turning in, kept on well in straight to take 2nd, always held.

Jumped only fairly. Shortly after the start was eased to avoid ALSONSO which shifted in. Sent for sampling post-race.

Made contact at start, positioned 1-1/2L behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened gradually inside final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

When questioned B Avdulla stated that after improving to the inside of ZOUPER FELLOW near the 350 Metres his intention was to continue to shift to the inside of ALSONSO to improve. He said when RUN RUN SUNRISE held its position to his inside he was then held up for clear running between the 250 Metres and the 150 Metres where he improved into a narrow run to the outside of ALSONSO. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began smartly from gate 1, sent forward to take the lead, travelled comfortably to turn, kept on well in straight to hold off the challengers.

Slightly slow out, raced at tail, 8-1/2L back turning in, made little progress in straight.

Noted to have blood at the right nostril after the race. An endoscopic examination conducted on ALSONSO found that there was no blood in its trachea and therefore the blood in the nostril was determined to be not coming from the lungs and as such the horse was deemed not to have bled.

Moderately away, raced in midfield on the inside, 2 wide approaching 700M, 4 lengths or so back turning in, one-paced in straight.

M F Poon was warned in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 150 Metres.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced towards rear on the outside, very wide turning in, made very good progress in straight to be nearest on line.

Shortly after the start was crowded between ZOUPER FELLOW and ONESHOT which shifted in after being bumped by E HOPEFUL. For some distance near the 100 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving between SYNERGY EXPRESS and HEROIC MASTER which lay out. Apprentice H Y Yuen stated that her mount was unable to hold a more forward position due to the early stages of the event being run inside of standard time. She said the horse would be better suited by being stepped back up in distance.

Over the final 200 Metres lay out under pressure and proved difficult to ride out to the finish.

Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between HEROIC MASTER which shifted out and MAPOGO which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when positioned close to ONESHOT.

Out with rest, raced 2 wide slightly better than midfield, angled out approaching 700M, 4 wide turning in, finished off well to take a place.

Bumped shortly after the start. Near the 150 Metres MASTER PAYMENT (B Avdulla), which had been held up for clear running, was shifted to the outside of ALSONSO to improve when there was not sufficient room to do so, resulting in ZOUPER FELLOW, which was under pressure, having to be steadied. B Avdulla was advised to exercise more care. A Atzeni stated that his mount did not appreciate being pressured in the lead in the early stages by ALSONSO and as a consequence did not finish the race off in the Home Straight. Trainer D J Hall advised that ZOUPER FELLOW had pleased him prior to the race and concurred with the views by Jockey Atzeni. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back from gate 13, raced towards rear on the inside, angled out approaching 500M, made no impression in straight.
