A Badel stated that his instructions were to go forward and attempt to obtain cover. He said when FORERUNNER commenced well he was able to go forward but was unable to obtain cover.

Made contact shortly after start, raced slightly behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, made good progress in straight to be nearest on line.

Leaving the 1100 Metres made contact with FREE PONY, resulting in MONARCH COUNTY commencing to race ungenerously. A short distance later MONARCH COUNTY shifted out and got its head up when being restrained to avoid FORERUNNER. MONARCH COUNTY continued to race ungenerously in the middle stages and near the 750 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from FREE PONY. J Moreira stated that the intention was to hold a slightly more forward position. He said MONARCH COUNTY was not suited by the early stages of the event being run outside of standard time and finished the race off only fairly under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced at tail, 8 lengths or so back, same margin back on turn, made good progress in straight without threatening.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Lay in in the early stages of the Home Straight when being shifted out to obtain clear running.

Began only fairly from gate 12, raced 2 wide behind midfield, very wide turning in, made very good progress in straight and scored.

Over the final 50 Metres raced in restricted room between FREE PONY and MONARCH COUNTY and as a result could not be fully ridden out to the end of the race. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Average to begin, raced 3 wide in midfield, no cover throughout, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter.

Near the 200 Metres was eased to avoid MARVEL AND GOLD which shifted out to obtain clear running. A Atzeni stated that his mount travelled only fairly during the event and after being hampered and taken wider on the Home Turn finished the race off in a one-paced manner in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began well, raced 2 wide, a length or so back, similar position on turn, kept on evenly in straight.

Trainer C S Shum confirmed that from the outside barrier he had instructed H Bowman to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages. <9/4/2026 Additional Veterinary Report>The Veterinary Surgeon reported that JOKER ORBIT was lame in its right front leg on the day after racing. Before being allowed to race again, JOKER ORBIT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
