Bumped and unbalanced shortly after start, raced at rear throughout, never a factor.

Lay in in the Home Straight. Sent for sampling post-race. K C Leung was reprimanded in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion near the 200 Metres.

Jumped only fairly, raced slightly behind midfield on the stands' side, inconvenienced near 650M, 3 to 4 lengths back at 400M, kept on one-paced to the line.

Shifted out on jumping and made contact with CAP FERRAT. Sent for sampling post-race.

Made contact shortly after start, positioned 2 to 3 lengths behind the leader in the middle of the track, finished off well to take 2nd without threatening the winner.

Over the final 150 Metres made contact with FAST NETWORK on a number of occasions when FAST NETWORK shifted out under pressure.

Began awkwardly and bumped, raced behind midfield on the middle track, hard ridden approaching 300M, kept on same pace to the line.

Briefly held up for clear running near the 300 Metres. Over the final 150 Metres lay out under pressure and made contact with GALAXY PATCH on a number of occasions. When questioned Z Purton stated that from a wide barrier he had been instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages. He said the instructions were issued as FAST NETWORK was stepping up in distance from its last start over 1200 Metres and also to offset the strong headwind in the Back Straight and along the side of the track between the 800 Metres and the 500 Metres. Trainer C H Yip confirmed the instructions and the reasons as to why he issued such instructions.

Moderately away from gate 1, showed good speed to take the lead on the far side, led by 3/4L at 400M, peaked and headed approaching 100M, weakened thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.) (Bled.)

Made contact shortly after start, raced better than midfield on the middle track in the early stages, peaked on run approaching 500M, weakened thereafter.

Jumped awkwardly and then was crowded by MY WISH which shifted out. For some distance near the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of GALAXY PATCH. Near the 100 Metres was taken out by GALAXY PATCH and made contact with SUNLIGHT POWER.

Bumped start, raced towards rear on the stands' side, made no impression final 400M.

Began well, raced behind midfield on the stands' side, 3 to 4 lengths back in the middle stages, passed some tired runners final 400M.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Y L Chung stated that after settling back in the field his mount found it difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight, particularly as it was stepping up in grade today. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped well, raced prominently on the stands' side, 3/4L back at 400M, took the lead approaching final 100M, kept on well to the line and scored.

Jumped awkwardly. Near the 250 Metres was bumped by RUBYLOT and then was eased to avoid BEAUTY JOY.

Made contact shortly after start, raced in 3rd, 2-3/4L back at 400M, hard ridden after passing 400M but only showed limited response, weakened final furlong.

Bumped on jumping, raced in midfield on the stands' rail, 2 to 3 lengths back at 400M, kept on evenly to take a place, no threat to the first two.

Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping and became unbalanced. Near the 250 Metres was eased when crowded between PATCH OF THETA and FAST NETWORK which shifted out to improve. In this incident RUBYLOT made contact with PATCH OF THETA.

Jumped with them, raced behind midfield, nearer to the middle track, failed to make any progress final 400M.
