Began well from a wide draw, raced in 2nd early, positioned 2 wide better than midfield in the middle stages, peaked near 400M, weakened gradually in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Near the 300 Metres shifted out to improve and made contact with AWESOME TREASURE. Sent for sampling post-race.

Commenced well, raced in midfield on the inside, 2 wide turning in, finished off evenly.

Jumped well, raced better than midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, finished off well but just lost out to the winner in a ding-dong finish.

Moderately away, raced 3 wide in midfield early, moved closer approaching 1600M, positioned 2 wide, 1/2L back in the middle stages, kept on well early in straight, peaked 150M, weakened thereafter. (Lame left front leg next day.)

Near the 150 Metres was eased to avoid KING PROFIT (E C W Wong) which shifted out. E C W Wong was advised to exercise more care.

Made contact at start, sent forward to take the lead, challenged by rival turning in, peaked and headed approaching 200M, weakened thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.)

C Y Ho stated that making the first turn his mount hung out which resulted in him having to correct it at that point. C Y Ho was fined the sum of $10,000 for using the whip on consecutive occasions in 2 consecutive strides near the 250 Metres.

Made contact at start, raced 2 wide behind midfield, angled out 800M, moved closer after passing 650M, challenged the leader turning in, took the lead early in straight, kept on well to the line, won by a nose.

M F Poon stated that with the early and middle stages of the event being run inside of standard time his mount was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight, particularly under its top weight of 135 lbs. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Moderately away from the widest draw, raced towards rear on the outside, no cover for the majority of the race, peaked on turn, weakened early in straight.

As the start as effected stood flat-footed and was very slow to begin. The barrier manners of VIGOR ELLEEGANT were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, VIGOR ELLEEGANT will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial. In the early and middle stages raced keenly and near the 900 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of SILVER SPURS.

Out with rest, raced 2 wide in midfield, 3 wide from 750M, 3 lengths or so back turning in, failed to close off in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Incident Report
Near the 1000 Metres was hampered when BRAVE WIN hung out. D B McMonagle stated that the intention was to hold a handy position. He added after his mount jumped awkwardly and made contact with CALL TO COMMAND he was caught wide in the early stages. He said he then elected to obtain a position further back in the field than instructed to avoid racing wide.

Taken back from gate 9, raced at rear on the inside, saved ground throughout, made some progress early in straight, peaked 150M, weakened final 100M.

On jumping became unbalanced when bumped by SILVER SPURS which shifted out. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.

Began only fairly from gate 1, raced behind midfield on the inside, 2 wide after passing 800M, 4 lengths back turning in, made good progress early in straight, peaked 100M, kept on evenly to the line.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Slowly away, raced 2 wide behind midfield, 3 wide from 800M, 4 lengths back on turn, very wide into straight, finished off evenly.

Near the 300 Metres was hampered when MOTOR shifted out and made contact with AWESOME TREASURE, carrying AWESOME TREASURE wider. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced 2 wide at rear, angled out 500M, very wide turning in, made some headway in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Incident Report
Was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice after sustaining wounds to multiple limbs due to being fractious whilst being transported to the course. Before being allowed to race again, AMAZING FUN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
