Bumped start, raced better than midfield on the inside, 2 wide on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter. (Blood in trachea.) (See Racing Incidents.)

Began well from gate 10, raced in 2nd early, sat right behind the leader after passing 650M, saved ground on turn, showed very good response in straight, took the lead 50M, headed close home. (See Racing Incidents.)

After travelling a short distance was steadied when crowded between STRAIGHT TO GLORY which shifted out slightly and SUGAR SUGAR which lay in despite the efforts of its rider. Sent for sampling post-race.

Taken back to race 2 wide behind midfield, angled out 350M, made good progress in straight to be nearest on line.

Bumped on jumping. Lay in after travelling a short distance, resulting in its rider B Avdulla having to correct his mount.

Jumped well from a wide draw, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1-1/4L turning in, kept on well in straight but unable to hold off the first two final 50M.

Bumped on jumping. K Teetan stated that the instructions were to hold a more forward position. He said despite his efforts in the early stages SOVEREIGN FUND did not show sufficient pace and as a result settled further back than intended. He added that his mount travelled only fairly during the event and did not run on when asked for an effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Out in line, raced 2 wide in midfield, 4 lengths or so back turning in, one-paced in straight.

Slightly slow out and bumped, raced behind midfield on the outside early, moved a bit closer after entering the back straight, peaked near 400M, weakened early in straight.

Slow to begin. The performance of CAMP LAND, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, CAMP LAND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
