Made contact with the left side of its starting gate on jumping, raced at rear on the inside, moved a bit closer after passing 1000M, 2 wide from 700M, no daylight early in straight, cleared 200M, closed off strongly to score.

Made contact with the left side of its starting gate on jumping and shortly after was then hampered when crowded by SPARKLE AND GOLD which shifted in. Shortly after the start was steadied and shifted to the inside of MR GOOD VIBES to obtain a position closer to the rail. Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of MAJESTIC DELIGHT. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well, raced 2 wide better than midfield, wider on turn, hard ridden from 300M, took the lead 100M, kept on well but unable to hold off the winner final 50M.

Jumped awkwardly, raced 3 wide slightly behind midfield, similar position on turn, no clear run early in straight, cleared after passing 200M, finished off well to take a place.

Jumped awkwardly. Near the 500 Metres was steadied when crowded by COME FAST FAY FAY (R Kingscote) which shifted out. R Kingscote was advised to exercise more care. Approaching the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind COME FAST FAY FAY.

Taken back from gate 13, raced towards rear on the outside, there to turn, made good progress in straight to make frame, nearest on line.

Made contact at start, raced 3 wide towards rear, 2 wide on turn, no clear run early in straight, cleared near 200M, made some progress thereafter until blocked final 50M.

Shifted in at the start and was bumped. Over the concluding stages could not be fully ridden out when unable to improve between COME FAST FAY FAY and MAJESTIC DELIGHT which shifted out.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced 2 wide at rear, last turning in, unable to obtain clear run until approaching 150M, made good progress thereafter to be nearest on line.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres. Again approaching the 200 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of NOBLE DELUXE.

Fast into stride, sent forward to race prominently, 2 wide, shared lead turning in, took the lead 300M, peaked and headed 100M, weakened thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.)

Y L Chung advised that the instructions were to go forward and race in a similar manner to when it barrier trialed on a number of occasions in the lead up to today’s race.

Commenced well, sent forward to take the lead, shared lead turning in, peaked and headed 300M, weakened inside final furlong. (Blood in trachea.)

After the race an endoscopic examination was conducted on ALWAYS MY FOLKS at the request of Trainer C S Shum. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, ALWAYS MY FOLKS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Began smartly from the widest draw, tracked leaders, 3 wide, there to turn, peaked early in straight, weakened inside final furlong.

Jumped awkwardly and became unbalanced. Near the 200 Metres was inconvenienced when crowded between YEE CHEONG RAIDER and HAPPY BOYS which shifted out to obtain clear running.

Average to begin, raced 2 wide behind midfield, found rail approaching 700M, saved ground on turn, failed to close off in straight.

A Atzeni could offer no excuse for the horse’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have a respiratory condition which requires further assessment. <22/2/2026 19 February 2026 Sha Tin Racemeeting – Race 1 (444)> A further assessment of NOBLE DELUXE confirmed that the horse was found to be a "roarer”.
