Shifted out at start and bumped, raced slightly behind midfield on the outside, 4 lengths or so back turning in, made very good progress in straight, just beaten in a ding-dong battle.

Near the 800 Metres was steadied when positioned close to the heels of TURIN MASCOT. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped at the start. Near the 800 Metres was taken wider by SKY VINO and then was obliged to race very wide and without cover thereafter. Sent for sampling post-race.

Out with rest, sent forward to race prominently on the outside, took the lead near 950M, shared lead with rival turning in, peaked and headed early in straight, weakened final furlong.

Blundered on jumping, became unbalanced, shifted out and made contact with DRAGON AIR FORCE. Bumped near the 400 Metres.

R Kingscote reported that he had to make some use of the horse in the early stages to race outside the lead. He said with the early and middle stages of the event being run inside of standard time CHILL KAKA was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced at rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, failed to make any progress in straight. (Bled.) (Roarer.)

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 900 Metres got its head up when being steadied to avoid SKY VINO. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Clean jump, raced prominently on the inside, travelled well to turn, took the lead early in straight, kept on well but unable to hold off the first few on line.

M F Poon stated that his mount failed to travel throughout the race and, in his opinion, was not suited by racing on the All Weather surface. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

L Ferraris stated that with blinkers being reapplied today WINFIELD raced too keenly in the lead and as a result set a faster pace than he would have liked. He added as a result WINFIELD weakened in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of WINFIELD, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, WINFIELD will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. <16/2/2026 Additional Veterinary Report> WINFIELD, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. WINFIELD was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer M Newnham yesterday morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. As previously advised, WINFIELD will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
