Apprentice E C W Wong (ETERNAL FORTUNE) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 350 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of METRO POWER, resulting in METRO POWER losing its rightful running and being checked. Apprentice Wong was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Sunday, 22 February 2026 at Sha Tin. In addition, Apprentice Wong was fined $25,000. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 1 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his neutral race riding record. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. <5/2/2026 Amendment to Suspension – Apprentice E C W Wong> At the Happy Valley racemeeting conducted on Wednesday, 4 February 2026, Apprentice E C W Wong was found guilty of a charge of careless riding and was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong racemeeting to be conducted on Sunday, 22 February 2026, in addition to being fined the sum of $25,000. Stewards have subsequently acceded to a request from Apprentice Wong to vary the date of the suspension and accordingly he is now suspended from riding at the Sha Tin racemeeting to be conducted on Thursday, 19 February 2026.

Was a late withdrawal acting on veterinary advice after sustaining multiple abrasions to its right front leg and head whilst being transported to the course. Before being allowed to race again, E HO HO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
