Began well from gate 1, taken back to race behind midfield on the middle track, 2 to 3 lengths back at 400M, hard ridden from 250M and made some progress, no extra final 50M. (Bled.)

Near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid CLOUD NINE (L Ferraris) which shifted in when not sufficiently clear before being corrected by its rider. L Ferraris was severely reprimanded. M F Poon reported that with sheepskin cheek pieces being reapplied his mount raced keenly before finishing the race off only fairly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Out with rest, raced prominently, 3 away from the stands' rail, hit the front 250M, kept on very well to score on his debut.

Shifted out on jumping and was bumped. M Chadwick reported that his instructions were to go forward. He said when HONORARY jumped better today he was able to comply with the instructions that had been issued.

Fast into stride, sent forward to take the lead, peaked 300M, headed 250M, weakened gradually final 100M.

Approaching the winning post was steadied to avoid KIAMA (D B McMonagle) which shifted in. D B McMonagle was advised to exercise more care.
