Bumped start, tracked leaders on the inside, easy run to turn, took the lead 150M, kept on well and scored.

Made contact shortly after start, taken back to race 2 wide at rear, 6 lengths back turning in, no clear run early in straight, cleared near 150M, finished off very strongly to take 2nd, nearest finish.

Bumped at the start. From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Held up for clear running making the Home Turn and near the 300 Metres improved into a narrow run between MULTIDUTCH and TURF PHOENIX and as a result made contact with TURF PHOENIX. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began only fairly from gate 1, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, closed off well to take a place.

Bumped start, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1-1/4L turning in, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 150M, weakened final 50M.

Jumped with them, raced in midfield on the outside, no cover for the majority of the race, 4 lengths back turning in, made some progress in straight.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. H Bentley was reprimanded in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height near the 200 Metres.

Taken back from the widest draw, raced at tail, 6 to 7 lengths back turning in, taken wide in straight and made good progress to be nearest on line.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres.

Made contact shortly after start, raced behind midfield on outer, bumped near 450M, very wide into straight, finished off evenly. (See Racing Incidents.)

Bumped at the start. Near the 450 Metres was bumped by TURF PHOENIX which shifted out slightly and as a result blundered. Near the 100 Metres was hampered when taken wider by MODEST GENTLEMAN. J Orman stated that although his mount was bumped near the 450 Metres and again near the 350 Metres he was of the opinion the horse would be better suited by being stepped up in distance to 1200 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped start and unbalanced, raced 2 wide better than midfield, 3 lengths back turning in, one-paced in the run home. (See Racing Incidents.)

On jumping was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced. H Bowman stated that after being crossed by SMART ENGINEER near the 500 Metres his mount did not travel well thereafter before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Crowded start, raced towards rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, made some progress early in straight, peaked 150M, ran on evenly to the line.

On jumping was steadied when crowded by TURF PHOENIX which shifted out abruptly.

Moderately away from a wide draw, raced prominently on the outside, 1-1/4L back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final 150M. (See Racing Incidents.)

D Probert stated that he was given the option of taking up a forward position. Trainer K W Lui confirmed the instructions issued and stated that with blinkers being applied for the first time he had asked for the horse to be ridden forward.

Shifted out at start and made contact, raced 2 wide towards rear, angled out and made contact near 450M, no clear run until approaching final 100M, made no progress thereafter.

Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the left side of its starting gate. As a result TURF PHOENIX then shifted out and made heavy contact with HAPPY BOYS. Shifted out near the 450 Metres and was bumped. Bumped near the 300 Metres. Near the 150 Metres, when giving ground, was steadied when crowded between MODEST GENTLEMAN and CONCORDE STAR, both of which shifted ground.

Began smartly, raced 2 wide slightly behind midfield, there to turn, peaked early in straight, weakened and eased thereafter.
