Jumped well from gate 1, sent forward to race prominently, took the lead 500M, peaked and headed 300M, weakened final 100M.

Incident Report
Shifted in on jumping and was bumped. Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres lay in and had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of GHORGAN. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped awkwardly, positioned 1 to 2 lengths behind the leader on the middle track, peaked 300M, weakened thereafter.

Near the 800 Metres was steadied when crowded between DO YOU JUST which shifted out when being steadied to avoid CHILL EASY and WITHALLMYFAITH which shifted in slightly. Sent for sampling post-race.

Made contact at start, raced slightly better than midfield on the middle track, hard ridden approaching 300M, finished off evenly.

Began only fairly, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader in the middle of the track, hard ridden after passing 300M but showed no response, weakened final 200M. (Roarer.) (See Racing Incidents.)

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After improving to the inside of FLYING LUCK near the 150 Metres raced tight to the inside of FLYING LUCK when that runner shifted in and as a result had difficulty obtaining clear running over the final 150 Metres.

Began well from gate 14, raced at rear on the stands' rail, failed to make any progress final 400M.

Jumped only fairly. Approaching the 200 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of CHILL EASY.

Slightly slow out, raced towards rear, hard ridden after passing 250M, finished off strongly to take 2nd, just beaten by a narrow margin. (See Racing Incidents.)

On jumping became badly unbalanced when bumped by PACKING FIGHTER which shifted in. J McDonald stated that from the 600 Metres when positioned to the inside of PACKING FIGHTER he considered shifting to that runner’s outside to improve. He said as he was of the view he would have had to make a long run if he did so he elected to improve to the inside of PACKING FIGHTER to follow SILO into the race which he thought would provide him with the opportunity to improve. He said after following SILO he then endeavoured to improve to that runner’s inside but when FLYING LUCK shifted out he became held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began smartly, showed good speed to take the lead, headed 500M, weakened final 300M. (See Racing Incidents.)

C Y Ho reported that he was instructed to hold a more forward position but not necessarily lead. He said when CHILL EASY commenced well he was positioned wide in the early stages and he continued forward to lead the event.

Near the 300 Metres raced tight between PACKING FIGHTER and FLYING LUCK which shifted out. L Ferraris reported that his mount made a respiratory noise during the running of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped only fairly, raced towards rear, 3 to 4 lengths back, moved closer approaching 500M, kept on well until no extra final 100M.

Made contact at start, positioned 1-1/2L behind the leader, hard ridden 400M but only showed limited response, hampered near 250M, weakened thereafter.

L Hewitson stated that the intention was to hold a more forward position but when his mount shifted in at the start and bumped heavily with DAZZLING FIT it settled further back in the field than intended. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

M Chadwick reported that making the first turn near the 800 Metres his mount changed stride and blundered when being steadied when being crossed by CHILL EASY (C Y Ho) which shifted in when not quite clear. C Y Ho was advised to exercise more care.

Moderately away, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader on the middle track, hard ridden from 400M but showed no response, weakened final furlong.
