Out with rest, raced towards rear on the inside, commenced move 550M, very wide turning in, made good progress in straight to make frame.

On jumping made contact with REFUSETOBEENGLISH due to both runners shifting ground. After travelling a short distance became unbalanced when it made contact with PRESTIGE SUPERIOR which shifted in slightly. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well from gate 1, positioned 5 lengths behind the leader on the inside, 2 wide from 650M, checked near 500M, made little progress in straight.

Jumped with them, raced 2 wide better than midfield, closer after passing 700M, 3 wide turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final 150M.

Briefly held up for clear running making the Home Turn before shifting to the outside of SPICY GOLD entering the Home Straight. Near the 150 Metres M Chadwick dropped his whip.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced at rear on the outside, moved closer after passing 850M, 2 lengths or so back turning in, finished off strongly to take 2nd, nearest finish.

Shortly after the start raced ungenerously when being steadied to attempt to obtain cover. When unable to obtain cover CHARMING BABE raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Bumped shortly after start, raced better than midfield on the outside, moved a bit closer after passing 700M, made slight contact near 500M, 3 wide turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened inside final furlong.

C L Chau stated that the instructions were to hold an on-pace position. He said when TRIUMPHANT MORE did not show sufficient pace in the early stages to comply with those instructions he then elected to steady his mount to obtain cover behind CHARMING BABE to avoid racing wide and without cover, which resulted in his mount racing ungenerously for some distance near the 900 Metres. He added in the Home Straight TRIUMPHANT MORE finished the race off fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began only fairly, raced at rear, hard ridden approaching 550M, 5 to 6 lengths back at 400M, closed off well without threatening.

A Badel stated that he was obliged to make some use of the horse in the early stages to take up a position with cover behind the leaders. He said in the Home Straight SPICY GOLD did not respond strongly to his riding and raced in a disappointing manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Shifted out shortly after start, 2nd in the early and middle stages, travelled keenly and lost position near 700M, raced slightly better than midfield on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened final 100M.
