Jumped only fairly. Held up for clear running between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres. Near the 200 Metres when improving into a narrow run between SOMELOVEFROMABOVE and YEE CHEONG GLORY shifted in and made contact with YEE CHEONG GLORY. Sent for sampling post-race.

Away with them, raced 2 wide in midfield, 3 lengths or so back turning in, unable to obtain clear run until approaching final 100M, weakened thereafter.

Lay in over the final 150 Metres. Approaching the 150 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of TOP PEAK. R Kingscote reported that he was instructed to take up a forward position but in the early stages he had to make use of his mount to comply with his instructions to cross runners to his inside.

Began well from a wide draw, taken back to race towards rear on the outside, 4 lengths or so back turning in, made good progress in straight to take 2nd, no threat to the winner.

Jumped awkwardly. H Bentley reported that for some distance in the Home Straight his mount had difficulty obtaining clear running when racing tight to the inside of YEE CHEONG GLORY. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Near the 200 Metres, when giving ground, was bumped on the hindquarters. Z Purton stated that he was issued with no specific instruction but after commencing well he was able to hold a position outside the lead. He added that in the Home Straight YEE CHEONG GLORY did not respond to his riding and, in his opinion, did not run out the 1400 Metres of today’s event. Trainer J Richards advised that the horse had pleased him leading into the race and could offer no excuse for its disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of YEE CHEONG GLORY was considered disappointing. Before being allowed to race again, YEE CHEONG GLORY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
