Held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres. Near the 150 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running when improving into a narrow run between SKY JOY and CALIFORNIA WAVES. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well from the widest draw, raced slightly better than midfield but trapped wide, 3 lengths or so back, there to turn, showed limited response early in straight, kept on same pace to the line. (See Racing Incidents.)

<22/12/2025 Additional Veterinary Report>The Veterinary Surgeon reported that SKY JOY was lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, SKY JOY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Slowly away, raced at tail throughout, never a factor.

Between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running.

Away well, positioned 3 lengths behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, kept on same pace in the run home.

Made contact with a rail when entering the track, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Jumped only fairly and then was bumped shortly after the start.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced towards rear on the outside, 7 lengths back turning in, failed to make any progress in straight.

Jumped only fairly. Near the 500 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from COLOURFUL GAN and as a consequence was then steadied to avoid THE RED HARE. Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running when racing tight to the inside of THE RED HARE.

Began well, positioned 1 to 2 lengths behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, finished off well to take 2nd without threatening the winner.

K C Leung reported that the intention was to hold a handy position. He said when his mount commenced well and raced keenly in the early stages he allowed it to stride forward and lead.

Bumped at start, raced towards rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, made no impression in straight.

Had difficulty obtaining clear running near the 300 Metres when positioned behind COLOURFUL GAN.

Bumped shortly after start, raced 2 wide slightly behind midfield, there to turn, made contact near 350M, unable to obtain clear run in straight.

Blundered on jumping, shifted in and made contact with STELLAR SWIFT. C Y Ho reported that he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to hold a forward position, but when unable to cross runners in the early stages MASTER OF ALL was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event. He added as a consequence his mount was unable to run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began only fairly, positioned 3 wide with cover, 4 lengths or so back, similar position on turn, finished off well to take a place, no threat to the first two.

Jumped only fairly. In the middle stages raced keenly and was steadied to avoid RIDING TOGETHER near the 800 Metres. Approaching the 200 Metres was held up behind MASTER OF ALL which was giving ground.
