Began smartly, sent forward to take the lead, led by a length, headed near 500M, 2nd turning in, took the lead 150M, kept on well but unable to hold off the first two close home.

Over the concluding stages lay in and approaching the winning post made contact with BEAUTY THUNDER. Sent for sampling post-race.

Shifted in at start and made contact, raced 2 wide in midfield, awkwardly placed near 450M, 4 lengths back turning in, made minor progress in straight.

Shifted out shortly after the start and was bumped. Bumped near the 250 Metres. Prior to declaring weighed-in the Stewards gave consideration if there were grounds for a protest/objection against BUNTA BABY being declared the winner due to BEAUTY THUNDER and BUNTA BABY making contact approaching the winning post. Having regard to the manner in which BUNTA BABY finished the race off and that the contact was due to both runners shifting ground although BUNTA BABY had shifted further, they were satisfied that there were not sufficient grounds to lodge a protest/objection and accordingly declared weighed-in on the numbers semaphored by the Judge. Sent for sampling post-race.

Taken back from the widest draw, raced towards rear on the inside, saved ground throughout, made little progress in straight.

Shifted out shortly after the start and was bumped. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when held up behind SUPER SIXTY.

Taken back from gate 9, raced at tail, commenced move 650M, took the lead 500M, led by a length turning in, peaked and headed near 150M, weakened thereafter.

Jumped only fairly. When questioned R Moore stated that in the early stages when positioned to the outside of BUNTA BABY he was obliged to shift in behind that runner when placed in restricted room. He said throughout the event his mount hung in which he attributed to the horse still being relatively inexperienced. He added that throughout the middle stages he was obliged to urge his mount to maintain its position at the rear of the field and upon entering the Home Straight he then commenced to shift the horse out to secure clear running. He said in the Home Straight his efforts to do so were hindered by the horse hanging in and as a result approaching the 100 Metres, when WINNING CHAMPION was commencing to finish the race off, he was obliged to reduce his vigour for a short distance to ensure that he was able to shift to the outside of CAP LINER which was giving ground. He further stated that once he obtained clear running WINNING CHAMPION finished the race off well under hands and heels riding. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began well from gate 1, raced better than midfield on the inside, angled out 400M, kept on well until final 50M, ran on evenly to the line.

When commencing to give ground near the 150 Metres lay in and was eased to avoid BUNTA BABY which shifted out slightly.

Made contact at start, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, kept on well early in straight, peaked 100M, weakened thereafter.

On jumping was crowded for room between HARMONY FIRE which was taken out by BEAUTY THUNDER and SUPER SIXTY which shifted in.

Away well, raced 3 wide in midfield, there to turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened final 150M.

Bumped shortly after the start. Over the final 200 Metres was held up for clear running and could not be ridden out to the finish.

H Bowman stated that his mount was disadvantaged by being pressured in the lead by SNOWTHORN and as a consequence was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
