HEADWATER, the Vinery Stud Syndicate’s runner, was trained by Michael, Wayne & John Hawkes with a record of 3 wins and 1 third in 11 starts including G2 Silver Slipper with Blake Shinn on board, and placed 5th in G1 Golden Slipper with Glen Boss taking the rein. He performed ordinary at 3YO and won a listed contest only. The son of EXCEED AND EXCEL and RIVER DOVE, winner of Oakleigh Plate, retired as a welcomed stud that stationed at Vinery Stud with 9 black type winners. His service fee in 2025 is AUD$ 6,600.ZETA HEDGE was trained by Kelly Van Dyk in New Zealand and took part in a 900M trial (6th Aug 2024) where he jumped well to lead the way on heavy ground. Most same sire runners are sprinters while his dam SYNCOPATED is half-sister of former HK runner CORRE RAPIDO and broodmare of BEAUTY RUSH, former Australian G3 winner and 2 wins at 1400M when racing in HK, also present runner GLORIOUS EXPERT. He was found right hind cannon bone injury in March. The bay gelding should be a precocious runner that prefer 1400M or under in distance and fine at Happy Valley.
