Incident Report
On jumping shifted in and away from VICTORY SKY and bumped with EMBRACES. Sent for sampling post-race.

Out with rest, raced in midfield, dropped towards rear 800M, positioned 7 lengths behind the leader on turn, made no impression in straight.

Near the 300 Metres shifted to the outside of EMBRACES to obtain clear running. Sent for sampling post-race.

Slowly away, raced behind midfield on the inside, moved a bit closer after passing 800M, 2 wide on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 600 Metres raced tight to the inside of STURDY RUBY which lay in.

Bumped shortly after start, raced at rear throughout, never a factor. (See Racing Incidents.)

Bumped on jumping. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 550 Metres shifted out when being corrected by its rider C Y Ho and as a result made contact with NOBLE PURSUIT.

Near the 200 Metres H Doyle dropped her whip.

Moderately away, raced better than midfield on the inside, dropped to midfield in the back straight, 5 lengths back turning in, one-paced in the run home.

For some distance approaching the 150 Metres was held up for clear running behind EMBRACES which was giving ground.

Began well from gate 1, took the lead, led by 3/4L in the early stages, headed near 850M, 1-1/4L back turning in, peaked early in straight, ran on evenly to the line.

Bumped on jumping. Making the turn near the 1300 Metres raced tight between LOVERO which shifted in and TOP GUN which shifted out when it made the turn awkwardly.

Shifted out shortly after start and bumped, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, dropped towards rear in the back straight, 7 lengths back turning in, made no impression in straight.

Bumped at the start. C L Chau reported that his mount did not appreciate racing to the inside of VICTORY SKY during the event and finished the race off in a one-paced manner in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped near the 550 Metres.

Average to begin, taken back to race at tail, commenced move near 1000M, took the lead 850M, led by 1-1/4L turning in, kept on very well in straight, won by 3-1/2L.

Y L Chung stated that his instructions were to go forward. He said in the early stages when a number of runners showed intent to hold an on-pace position and he was caught wide he elected to obtain a trailing position behind IVY LEAGUE. He added when IVY LEAGUE was able to continue forward to obtain a position behind the leader near the 1200 Metres, LOVERO was obliged to race wide and without cover thereafter.

Jumped only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, TOP GUN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
