Began well from gate 1, took the lead, led by 3/4L in the early stages, headed near 850M, 1-1/4L back turning in, peaked early in straight, ran on evenly to the line.

Briefly held up for clear running approaching the 250 Metres after improving to the inside of DEVAS TWELVE and made contact with COPARTNER FLEET near the 200 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Moderately away, raced better than midfield on the inside, dropped to midfield in the back straight, 5 lengths back turning in, one-paced in the run home.

Out with rest, raced in midfield, dropped towards rear 800M, positioned 7 lengths behind the leader on turn, made no impression in straight.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils and was also displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, BIENVENUE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race.

K Teetan reported that he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to hold an on-pace position and as a result COPARTNER FLEET was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
