A Badel stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages. Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions and said he issued those instructions to offset the wide barrier. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Away well, raced better than midfield on the inside, moved closer on turn, angled out approaching 400M, kept on well in straight to take a place without threatening.

B Avdulla stated that when placed under pressure in the Home Straight his mount responded only fairly to his riding which he attributed to STORMING DRAGON having to carry additional weight after its last start win on 10 September 2025. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
