GHAIYYATH was owned by Godolphin that trained by Charlie Appleby with 9 wins, 1 second and 2 thirds in 13 starts, winning distance from 1600M to 2400M. He started racing at age 2 where he landed G3 Autumn Stakes on his 3rd attempt and became one of the Derby Stakes favourite in coming year but he missed the classic due to injuries while he only raced once and notched G3 Prix du Prince d'Orange. During his 4YO season, he lifted Prix d'Harcourt, 3rd in Prix Ganay and won 14Ls in Grosser Preis von Baden with William Buick on board but ran on only for 10th in Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe as he didn’t suited on the heavy ground. On his 5YO season, he collected 4 wins and 1 second in 5 starts including the success in Coronation Cup, Eclipse Stakes, International Stakes and 2nd in Irish Champion Stakes that beaten by MAGICAL. He was planned to take part in Breeders' Cup Turf but was found back injury and soon retired. He collected 2 fourths in 2 starts at age 2 and broke his maiden in a 2091M race by racing handy at Cork. He ran on for 4th in 2392M King George V Stakes and ran on for 4th while the 1st runner up is MASSIVE CONTENDER. He won an 1800M race with 3 runners by racing on-pace before sold to Hong Kong.
