Results
Slowly away, raced 2 wide behind midfield, there to turn, no clear run early in straight, cleared 300M, finished off strongly, just beaten by a narrow margin.
Crowded on jumping, raced 2 wide at rear, there to turn, closed off well to make frame without threatening.
Jumped awkwardly, positioned 1-1/2L behind the leader on the middle track, hard ridden from 300M but only showed limited response, weakened gradually inside final furlong.
Jumped well from the widest draw, showed no early speed, taken back to race at tail, 7 lengths or so back turning in, kept on same pace in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)
Clean jump, raced prominently on the inside, travelled well to turn, took the lead early in straight, kept on well but unable to hold off the first few on line.
Jumped with them, raced better than midfield on the outside, 2nd after entering the back straight, 1/2L back turning in, hit the front 200M, kept on well but unable to hold off the winner final 100M.
Began well from gate 1, raced slightly better than midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened 200M, eased final 100M.
Bumped shortly after start, raced 2 wide slightly behind midfield, there to turn, made contact near 350M, unable to obtain clear run in straight.

PIERATA was trained by Gregory Hickman with 9 wins, 7 seconds and 2 thirds in 26 starts, winning distance from 1100M to 1400M including 1400M G1 All Aged Stakes under Tommy Berry in 2019 while he landed 4 G2 & G3 events and Magic Millions 3yo Guineas, he was also place-getters in G1 Randwick Guineas, The Galaxy and VRC Sprint Classic. He is half-brother of former HK runner MASTER DELIGHT. The son of PIERRO commenced stud duties at Aquis Farm in 2020 and moved to Yulong stud in 2023 with 2 black type contest winners including 2024 Golden Slipper 1st runner up COLEMAN. His fee in 2025 is AUD$ 55,000.AMAZING PARTNERS was purchased by Magus Equine Limited at AUD$ 250,000 in 2023 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale. He was trained by Stephen O'Halloran in Australia and took part in 3 barrier trials where he sat handy early and ran on one-paced for 3rd in an 800M section (24th Feb 2025), slow out in a 1030M trial (17th Mar 2025) that always at rear for 9th on good going, then sat at 4th early under restraint to hit the front at one stage but headed late for 2nd in a 1030M section (11th Apr 2025) with blinkers on good going. His dam DIZZY DIVA were place-getters from 1250M to 1600M and her winning foal could handle up to 1800M while former HK Horse of The Year VENGEANCE OF RAIN is family member. The bay gelding should be a middle distance runner that prefers 1800M or upper while soft going is fine.
