Bumped start, sent forward to race prominently, took the lead near 900M, travelled well to turn, hard ridden near 300M, peaked and headed 150M, weakened gradually close home. (See Racing Incidents.)

Taken back from the widest draw, raced towards rear on the outside, very wide into straight, finished off very strongly to score. (A small laceration to the right front cannon.)

Near the 500 Metres shifted out and made contact with the running rail. Approaching the 50 Metres was held up for clear running behind SUPER STRONG KID. When being shifted to the inside of SUPER STRONG KID, RISING PHOENIX made contact with PARENTS’ LOVE. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped start, sent forward to take the early lead, headed near 900M, 2nd on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened final 250M. (A minor laceration to the left hock.)

Noted to have blood at the mouth on arrival at the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Bumped shortly after the start. Near the 50 Metres was bumped by RISING PHOENIX which was shifted to the inside of SUPER STRONG KID to obtain clear running.

Jumped well from gate 11, raced 3 wide, 2 lengths or so back, similar position on turn, one-paced in the run home.

Bumped heavily on jumping. Near the 250 Metres was shifted to the inside of PARENTS’ LOVE to continue into clear running and made contact with BEAUTY THUNDER.

Began awkwardly, raced at tail, 5 lengths or so back turning in, made good progress in straight without threatening.

Near the 250 Metres was bumped by WATCH THIS ONE which shifted to the inside of PARENTS’ LOVE to continue into clear running.

Slowly away, raced at rear on the inside, angled out approaching 500M, kept on evenly in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Jumped awkwardly and shortly after became unbalanced when bumped heavily by OWNERS’ SUNSHINE.

Jumped well from a wide draw, raced 3 wide with cover slightly behind midfield, 2 lengths or so back turning in, closed off well to take a place.

Jumped only fairly and then was bumped by DR GOLDEN GENERAL which shifted out. Lay out under pressure over the final 300 Metres and proved difficult to ride out.

Jumped with rest, positioned 2 wide, 2 lengths or so back, there to turn, showed some response early in straight, peaked on run 150M, kept on same pace to the line.

Shortly after the start made heavy contact with WATCH THIS ONE, resulting in OWNERS’ SUNSHINE becoming unbalanced, shifting in and making heavy contact with SUPERB GUY. Jockey K De Melo was fined the sum of $5,000 for weighing in 1 lb overweight on return to scale.

Jumped awkwardly, positioned 2 wide slightly behind midfield, 3 lengths back turning in, no clear run early in straight, made good progress final 200M to make frame.

K C Leung stated that over the final 300 Metres his mount hung in and proved difficult to ride. Jockey Leung was warned in relation to using his whip on a horse that was out of contention.
