Began only fairly, raced towards rear, 5 lengths back turning in, taken wide in straight and made good progress to make frame, no threat to the first few.

Bumped start, positioned a length behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter.

Bumped on the hindquarters by YOUNG CHAMPION near the 300 Metres. As a result GUSTOSISIMO then lay in for some distance thereafter.

Bumped start, raced 2 wide better than midfield, 3 wide turning in, showed limited response early in straight, weakened gradually inside final furlong.

Jumped well from a widest draw, raced better than midfield on the outside, no cover for the majority of the race, kept on evenly early in straight, weakened gradually final 100M.

Held up from the 400 Metres to the 300 Metres. Approaching the 300 Metres improved into a narrow run between HEALTHY HAPPY and GUSTOSISIMO and as a result made contact with the hindquarters of GUSTOSISIMO. YOUNG CHAMPION then raced tight to the inside of GUSTOSISIMO until near the 100 Metres.

Crowded shortly after start, raced behind midfield on the inside, 2 wide on turn, made good progress in straight to take 2nd, nearest on line.

Shifted in at the start, made contact with GUSTOSISIMO and became unbalanced. Shortly after the start LO RIDER was then steadied to avoid GUSTOSISIMO when racing tight to the inside of TAJ DRAGON which shifted in after making contact with SWIFT ASCEND. Between the 350 Metres and the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of YOUNG CHAMPION.

Shifted in at start, raced 2 wide in midfield, 2-1/2L back turning in, no clear run early in straight, ran on evenly to the line.

Jumped well, raced behind midfield on outer, 4 lengths or so back turning in, failed to close off in straight.

Jumped only fairly. Near the 200 Metres was steadied when crowded between SWIFT ASCEND which shifted in before being corrected by its rider M Chadwick and LO RIDER (H Bentley) which shifted out to improve when not quite clear. H Bentley was advised to exercise more care.

Jumped well, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, travelled comfortably in the middle stages, took the lead early in straight, kept on well to the line and scored.

After the event A Badel stated that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and did not travel well throughout the race before giving ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped only fairly and bumped, raced towards rear on the inside, angled out 450M, kept on same pace in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

After the event M F Poon stated that his mount was obliged to race very wide and without cover for the majority of the event when runners to his inside held their position. He said this was the principal reason for the horse’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.

Slightly slow out and crowded, positioned 3 lengths behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened final 200M.

On jumping made contact with HEALTHY HAPPY, shifted in and then bumped with TAJ DRAGON. After the event M Chadwick stated that the instructions were to hold a midfield position. He said when his mount commenced well it settled in a more forward position in the early stages. He added approaching the first turn he was obliged to make use of his mount to cross SOLEIL FIGHTER to avoid racing wide and as a consequence in the Home Straight SWIFT ASCEND did not respond to his riding. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped shortly after the start. Near the 150 Metres was steadied when crowded between BRILLIANT EXPRESS and SWIFT ASCEND (M Chadwick) which shifted out and away from LO RIDER which shifted out. M Chadwick was advised to exercise more care.
