Kicked a rail at the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. After the event L Ferraris stated that from a wide barrier he was provided with the option of taking up a forward position and lead if the circumstances permitted. Trainer M Newnham confirmed the instructions issued.

Jumped well, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, travelled comfortably in the middle stages, took the lead early in straight, kept on well to the line and scored.

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 700 Metres commenced to race keenly and shifted out when being steadied to avoid GLORIOUS RYDER. FLAGSHIP WARRIOR then continued to race keenly and near the 500 Metres again shifted out when being steadied away from BOWSER.

Slightly slow out and crowded, positioned 3 lengths behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, showed limited response early in straight, weakened final 200M.

Leaving the 500 Metres was eased when briefly held up behind LUCKY YEAR. Near the 50 Metres made contact with LAKESHORE HERO due to both runners shifting ground. After the event Z Purton stated that his mount would be benefited by being stepped back up in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Bumped at the start. Approaching the 1000 Metres raced keenly and was steadied when being crossed by MAGIC COMBO. Near the 350 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of MAGIC COMBO when MAGIC COMBO shifted out slightly. After the event A Atzeni reported that his mount jumped only fairly and as a result settled further back than anticipated. He added in the Home Straight the horse was unable to make up any appreciable ground when placed under pressure. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped well from gate 1, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1/2L on turn, peaked and headed early in straight, weakened inside final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

Near the 50 Metres made contact with FORTUNATE SON due to both runners shifting ground. After the event K De Melo reported that his mount made a respiratory noise after the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, LAKESHORE HERO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Shifted in at start, raced 2 wide in midfield, 2-1/2L back turning in, no clear run early in straight, ran on evenly to the line.

After the event K Teetan stated that his mount was obliged to race very wide and without cover for the majority of the race and as a result was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. <2/7/2025 Additional Veterinary Reports> BOWSER, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. BOWSER was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer P F Yiu this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, BOWSER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
