Bumped at the start. Between the 600 Metres and the 400 Metres was unable to improve forward when held up behind LITTLE SQUID as LITTLE SQUID was commencing to give ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped only fairly, raced at tail, 7 lengths or so back in the middle stages, one-paced final 400M.

Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres was badly held up for clear running.

Shifted out at start and bumped, sent forward to race prominently, hard ridden approaching 250M, took the lead near 200M, kept on well to the line and scored.

Raced keenly in the early stages and near the 900 Metres was steadied when racing in restricted room between LAKESHORE HERO and STRATHPEFFER. After the event J Orman advised that his instructions were to ride his mount in a slightly more conservative manner than at its previous starts.

Slightly slow out, raced in midfield on the stands' side, 3 to 4 lengths back at 400M, finished off well to take a place, no threat to the first two.

Bumped on jumping. After the event M F Poon reported that making the Home Turn his mount made an abnormal breathing noise and gave ground thereafter in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped only fairly and then shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between CASA RUBICK and MEOWTH which was taken in by LAKESHORE HERO.

Away well, sent forward to take the lead, led by 1/2L in the middle stages, peaked and headed 200M, weakened gradually final 100M.

After the event Y L Chung reported that his mount made an abnormal breathing noise during the race. The performance of LITTLE SQUID, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, LITTLE SQUID will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
