Began well, positioned 1-1/2L behind the leader on the inside, travelled keenly after passing 800M, saved ground on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened final 150M.

Leaving the 400 Metres MAGIC HALLOW lay out, resulting in FUN ELITE racing tight between METRO POWER and MAGIC HALLOW. Then near the 350 Metres FUN ELITE was crowded for room for some distance between MAGIC HALLOW which continued to lay out despite the efforts of its rider and METRO POWER (B Thompson) which shifted to the inside of PARENTS’ LOVE to obtain clear running. B Thompson was severely reprimanded and advised he must ensure he leaves sufficient racing room for other runners when shifting ground.

Out with rest, raced 2 wide slightly behind midfield, commenced move 600M, 3-1/2L back turning in, showed limited response early in straight, kept on same pace to the line. (Wound to left hind leg) (See Racing Incidents.)

Near the 350 Metres was steadied and shifted in to avoid FUN ELITE. Near the 100 Metres was eased when crowded between WE ARE HERO and FUN ELITE which shifted in and away from METRO POWER after being taken in by METRO POWER. After the event Z Purton stated that his mount jumped only fairly and settled further back in the field than anticipated. He added whilst LA FORZA experienced some difficulty obtaining clear running towards the finish of the event it finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Taken back from gate 12, raced at rear on the outside, 6 lengths or so back, very wide into straight, made some headway in the run home.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced 2 wide at rear, 5 lengths or so back turning in, no clear run early in straight, cleared approaching 200M, made some progress thereafter.

Jumped awkwardly and then was bumped by DREAM WINNER. Shortly after the start STAR PERFORMER was steadied when crowded by PARENTS’ LOVE which blundered on jumping and shifted in.

Jumped well from a wide draw, raced prominently, 2 wide, a length back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final 300M. (See Racing Incidents.)

When giving ground near the 150 Metres was steadied when crowded between LA FORZA and FUN ELITE which was taken in by METRO POWER. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.

Fractious in the starting gates and jumped awkwardly, positioned 3 to 4 lengths behind the leader on rail, saved ground throughout, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter.

Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was checked when crowded between SPARKLING FELLOW and WE ARE HERO which was taken out by JOLLY RULER which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider. For some distance after the 700 Metres was taken in by DREAM WINNER which shifted in to race in the middle of the track.
