Commenced well, sent forward to take the lead, led by a length, travelled well to turn, challenged by rival after turning in, headed near 350M, kept on evenly to take a place.

Shortly after the start was crowded between MOUNT EVEREST and GLACIATED which shifted out. Trainer K H Ting confirmed the instructions were to hold a position forward of midfield preferably with cover. Sent for sampling post-race.

Out with rest, raced behind midfield on the outside, 7 lengths back, no cover for the majority of the race, peaked early in straight, ran on evenly to the line.

Over the concluding stages shifted in and away from ENJOY GOLF, resulting in its rider B Thompson having to straighten his mount. Sent for sampling post-race.

Jumped well, raced 2 wide better than midfield, carried wider 500M, peaked early in straight, made contact 350M, weakened gradually inside final furlong.

Near the 50 Metres shifted in and away from LITTLE PARADISE and as a result its rider Apprentice E C W Wong had to correct his mount.

Taken back from the widest draw, raced towards rear on the inside, 7 lengths back turning in, made some headway in straight.

Shifted out shortly after the start and bumped with LITTLE PARADISE. Raced keenly in the middle stages and near the 900 Metres was steadied away from HAPPY PARK.

Jumped well, sent forward to race in 2nd, a length back, challenged the leader after turning in, took the lead near 350M, kept on well to the line and scored.

Bumped on jumping. Shortly after the start was then bumped heavily by LITTLE PARADISE which shifted out after GLACIATED shifted out and away from ENJOY GOLF.

Taken back from gate 9, raced 2 wide towards rear, travelled keenly in the middle stages, checked near 750M, 3 wide on turn, 8 lengths back turning in, made some progress in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

After the event M F Poon reported that his mount lay in when under pressure In the Home Straight, got its head up and proved difficult to ride out. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped only fairly, positioned 2 wide, 5 lengths or so back, angled out 500M, 4 lengths back turning in, made good progress in straight to make frame without threatening.

Approaching the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid ENJOY GOLF (Apprentice E C W Wong) which shifted in when not clear. Apprentice Wong was severely reprimanded. After the event Y L Chung stated that his mount did not travel well during the event and he was disappointed with its finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Fast into stride, positioned 1 to 2 lengths behind the leader on the inside, 2 wide from 550M, finished off well to take 2nd, always held.

Jumped awkwardly. After the event C L Chau stated that his mount attempted to buck shortly after the start and as a result he was obliged to take corrective action on the horse to prevent it from doing so. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of RUN RAN RUN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, RUN RAN RUN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
