Incident Report
When questioned A Atzeni stated that the intention was to hold an on-pace position. He said in the early stages when WONDERSTAR set a fast early pace he was awkwardly placed at the front of the main body of the field which made it difficult to judge the pace upon which the race was being run. He said when WONDERSTAR continued to maintain its sizeable lead in the middle stages he encouraged his mount forward in an endeavour to make up some ground on that runner. He said after considering the sectional times of the event and the times upon which FASHION LEGEND had run, A Atzeni agreed with the Stewards that in retrospect he would have been better suited by riding his mount in a more conservative manner in the middle stages to provide FASHION LEGEND with an opportunity to finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
Fast into stride, positioned 1 to 2 lengths behind the leader on the inside, 2 wide from 550M, finished off well to take 2nd, always held.

Jumped well, sent forward to race in 2nd, a length back, challenged the leader after turning in, took the lead near 350M, kept on well to the line and scored.
Incident Report
When questioned C L Chau stated that the intention was to lead the event but not to push his mount in the early stages to do so as WONDERSTAR had raced too keenly in the lead at its most recent start. He said after commencing well he allowed WONDERSTAR to obtain the lead without pressuring his mount to do so. He said in the early stages WONDERSTAR then commenced to race keenly and whilst he was aware that his mount was running inside of standard time he was unable to set a slower pace as his mount was racing too keenly. He added from the 800 Metres WONDERSTAR came under pressure before giving ground in the Home Straight. He said he had recommended to connections to remove the blinkers from WONDERSTAR should the horse continue to race over the 1650 Metres.
Jumped only fairly, positioned 2 wide, 5 lengths or so back, angled out 500M, 4 lengths back turning in, made good progress in straight to make frame without threatening.

Commenced well, sent forward to take the lead, led by a length, travelled well to turn, challenged by rival after turning in, headed near 350M, kept on evenly to take a place.
Incident Report
The performance of CONSPIRATOR, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, CONSPIRATOR will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
