Away well, sent forward to take the lead, led by a length, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 200M, weakened gradually final 100M.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Sent for sampling post-race.

Taken back from the widest draw, raced 3 wide behind midfield, moved a bit closer in the middle stages, carried wider 650M, 4 lengths back turning in, inconvenienced 250M, made no progress thereafter.

Commenced well, positioned 2 wide, 4 lengths back, difficult to settle in the early and middle stages, same margin back on turn, showed some response early in straight, weakened final 150M.

Near the 1000 Metres, when racing keenly, shifted in and away from VON BAER and was steadied.

Average to begin, raced 3 wide better than midfield, 2 wide from 1200M, angled out 650M, 3 lengths back turning in, inconvenienced 250M, peaked 200M, weakened thereafter.

Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with MISSION STRIKE.

Taken back to race at rear on the outside, travelled keenly in the early and middle stages, 5 to 6 lengths back on turn, very wide into straight, failed to make any progress in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Bumped at the start. Approaching the finish could not be fully ridden out when placed awkwardly to the inside of HARMONY GALAXY which shifted in. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well, raced 2 wide, a length or so back, dropped to midfield on turn, 2 to 3 lengths back at 400M, peaked early in straight, ran on evenly to the line.

Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Between the 300 Metres and the 150 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.

Average to begin, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, angled out early in straight, finished off strongly to take 2nd.

Near the 200 Metres was taken in slightly by CAN’T GO WONG. ME TIME then raced in restricted room between CAN’T GO WONG and PRESTIGE GOOD over the final 200 Metres.

Moderately away from a wide draw, raced in midfield on the outside, sent forward after entering the back straight, 2nd in the middle stages, hit the front 200M, kept on well to the line and scored.

Incident Report
Approaching the winning post was steadied when crowded by S J TOURBILLON (L Hewitson) which shifted out when improving to the outside of CAN’T GO WONG. L Hewitson was advised to exercise more care.

Jumped well, positioned 1 to 2 lengths behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, kept on well in straight to take a place, no threat to the first two.

Shortly after the start raced in restricted room between VIVA GRACIOUSNESS and CAN’T GO WONG, both of which shifted ground. Near the 150 Metres was eased and shifted to the inside of ME TIME to obtain clear running. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Taken back from gate 9, raced at tail, 6 lengths back, same margin back on turn, inconvenienced early in straight, made no impression final 200M.

Jumped with them, raced 2 wide behind midfield, travelled keenly in the early stages, angled out and moved a bit closer after passing 900M, no cover from 800M, 4Ls back turning in, weakened early in straight, eased final 200M.

After the event M Chadwick stated that his mount travelled only fairly during the race which he attributed to the early stages of the event being run inside of standard time. He added that in the Home Straight VIVA GRACIOUSNESS finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began only fairly, raced behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, failed to close off in straight.
