Away well, positioned 2 wide, 2 lengths or so back, 3 wide approaching 600M, hard ridden after passing 350M and made some progress, peaked 150M, ran on evenly to the line.

Approaching the 500 Metres was steadied away from SATONO REVE. Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight. After the event J McDonald reported that his mount was coughing post-race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. <28/4/2025 Additional Veterinary Report>After the race, LUCKY SWEYNESSE was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. LUCKY SWEYNESSE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer K L Man this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY SWEYNESSE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Trainer W K Mo confirmed that from a wide barrier he had instructed C Soumillon to go forward and lead. He said he issued such instructions today as MAGIC CONTROL had raced in a disappointing manner over 1200 Metres when ridden conservatively in the early stages.

Jumped with them, raced 2 wide in midfield, wider on turn, hard ridden 550M, made some progress early in straight, peaked on run 150M, kept on same pace to the line.

Shifted in at the start and was bumped. In the early and middle stages raced keenly and near the 900 Metres was checked to avoid KA YING RISING when being crossed by that runner. BEAUTY WAVES then raced wide and without cover thereafter.

Began well from gate 1, positioned 1 to 2 lengths behind the leader on the inside, moved a bit closer along the rail on turn, hit the front 350M, kept on strongly to the line, won by 1-1/2L.

After the event C Williams reported that his mount did not feel comfortable in its action behind when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced towards rear on the outside, a bit closer in the middle stages, 2-1/2L back turning in, finished off evenly.

On jumping was bumped by BEAUTY WAVES which shifted in. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.
