Stewards' Comments
Crowded start, raced towards rear on the inside early, moved a bit closer along the rail after passing 1100M, positioned in midfield on turn, showed limited response early in straight, ran on evenly to the line.
Incident Report
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race.
Slightly slow out, raced 2 wide in midfield, difficult to settle for the majority of the race, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong.
Incident Report
Sent for sampling post-race.
Moderately away from a tricky draw, trapped wide in midfield early, taken back 1150M, raced at rear on the outside in the middle stages, very wide into straight, one-paced in the run home. (See Racing Incidents.)
Incident Report
Between the 450 Metres and the 250 Metres was held up for clear running.
Out in line, raced towards rear on the outside, 6 lengths or so back, same margin back on turn, made very good progress in straight to take a place, nearest on line.
Incident Report
L Ferraris (MONDIAL) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that leaving the 1600 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of PACKING TURBINE, resulting in PACKING TURBINE being taken in onto MIDORI GIANT and causing PACKING HURRICANE to be checked. After assessing the carelessness grade 1 and the consequences grade 2 and having regard to his excellent race riding record, the Stewards determined the appropriate penalty to be a reprimand. After the event, K Teetan advised the intention was to hold a more forward position but after jumping only fairly and his mount being crowded near the 1600 Metres it settled further back in the field than intended.
Out with rest, raced 3 wide behind midfield early, 2 wide on turn, angled out 450M, no clear run early in straight, cleared 350M, made good progress thereafter to be nearest on line.
Incident Report
No report.
Taken back from the widest draw, raced 2 wide behind midfield, found rail near 800M, saved ground on turn, finished off evenly.
Incident Report
When questioned, H T Mo stated that his instructions were to hold a handy position with cover. He said in the early stages his mount was hampered when PACKING HURRICANE shifted out slightly which resulted in WINNING WING settling further back than intended. When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight, H T Mo stated that near the 400 Metres he endeavoured to obtain clear running between PACKING HURRICANE and SOLID WIN, however, when SOLID WIN shifted in slightly, he was obliged to check his mount near the 300 Metres when disappointed for this run. He added near the 200 Metres he then directed his mount to the outside of SOLID WIN but again was obliged to check his mount passing the 200 Metres which resulted in WINNING WING losing significant momentum and becoming unbalanced before being able to obtain clear running near the 100 Metres where it finished the race off reasonably well. The Stewards advised Jockey Mo that in the early part of the Home Straight he had been positioned too close to the heels of PACKING HURRICANE and he should ride his mounts with better judgement in future. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
Away with them, trapped 4 wide in midfield, raced 3 wide behind midfield on turn, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter.

Incident Report

Incident Report
Jumped only fairly.
Moderately away from gate 1, positioned 2 lengths behind the leader on rail, a bit closer on turn, finished off well to take 2nd. (See Racing Incidents.)
Incident Report
After the event, H Bowman reported that his mount blundered near the 1200 Metres and he was not then satisfied with its action thereafter. He added after placing SKY HEART under pressure in the early part of the Home Straight, when he was concerned that his mount was not responding and there may be something amiss with SKY HEART, he then eased it down from the event over the final 300 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The Stewards determined that before being allowed to race again, SKY HEART will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments. <26/3/2025 23 March 2025 Sha Tin Racemeeting – Race 10 (533)> As part of the official veterinary examination process the horse has undergone diagnostic imaging which has revealed minor changes to both front fetlock joints that will be managed under veterinary supervision. SKY HEART will continue to be monitored and will undergo an additional assessment by a Veterinary Officer later in the week.
Bumped start, raced better than midfield on the outside, no cover throughout, peaked early in straight, weakened thereafter.
Incident Report
After the event, Y L Chung advised that his mount was disadvantaged by being pressured in the lead by PRAY FOR MIR and as a result did not finish the race off when asked for an effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Jumped awkwardly, sent forward to race prominently, took the lead 1100M, led by a length turning in, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 100M, weakened gradually final 50M. (Jockey dropped whip near 100M.)

L Ferraris pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference leaving the 1600 Metres (see PACKING HURRICANE). Held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres behind LIVEANDLETLIVE. After the event, L Ferraris advised that with blinkers being applied today he was instructed to take up a more forward position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
