In the early stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 1000 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from RUN RAN RUN. Between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running.

Near the 900 Metres was taken wider when HANDSOME BOMB was shifted out after crossing RUN RAN RUN.

After the event, K C Leung reported that his mount dipped near the 600 Metres and failed to travel thereafter. He added in the Home Straight RUN RAN RUN responded only fairly to his riding. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Began awkwardly and unbalanced, positioned 3 wide, 2 lengths back, wider turning in, made some progress early in straight, peaked 200M, kept on same pace to the line.

Jumped only fairly. After the event, K Teetan reported that his mount did not handle the "Good to Yielding” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, EXCEL WONGCHOY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Made contact at start, raced in midfield on the outside, 4 lengths back turning in, peaked early in straight, ran on evenly to the line.
