Crowded shortly after start, raced at rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, made minor progress in straight.

Began smartly, sent forward to take the lead, travelled well to turn, peaked and headed 200M, weakened final 100M.

Approaching the first turn near the 1000 Metres shifted in and away from HARMONY N HOME and made contact with the running rail. After the 200 Metres became held up for clear running behind KING GLORIOSO and did not obtain clear running until near the 50 Metres when it improved into a narrow run between KING GLORIOSO and E UNIVERSE. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began well, sat a length behind the leader on rail, there to turn, showed good response in straight took the lead 200M, kept on well to the line, just held on.

For some distance near the 200 Metres raced tight to the inside of COLONEL which lay in.

Moderately away, raced 2 wide in midfield, weakened from 550M, eased early in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Near the 100 Metres K De Melo lost his whip when it made contact with BOWSER as that runner improved into a tight run.

Made contact shortly after start, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, dropped towards rear from 550M, eased early in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Near the 100 Metres was contacted on the hindquarters and became unbalanced. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Away well, raced 2 wide behind midfield, 3 wide from 500M, very wide into straight, one-paced in the run home.

Began only fairly, positioned 3 lengths behind the leader on the inside, there to turn, finished off strongly, just beaten by a narrow margin.

Jumped only fairly. Raced keenly in the early stages when being shifted across behind runners from a wide barrier. Near the 150 Metres became held up behind INNO CENTURY and shortly after shifted to the outside of that runner to obtain clear running and made contact with HAPPY UNITED.

Began only fairly, raced 2 wide towards rear, angled out 450M, very wide turning in, made no impression in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)

Near the 100 Metres was steadied when crowded between ACCOLADE START and REWARDING TWINKLE (M L Yeung) which shifted out after being steadied away from INNO CENTURY. M L Yeung was reprimanded. When questioned, H Bowman stated that from a wide barrier his instructions were to ride HAPPY UNITED in a conservative manner in the early stages. He said HAPPY UNITED jumped awkwardly and then got its head up in the early stages whilst he was complying with his instructions. He said in the Home Straight HAPPY UNITED hung in and proved difficult to ride out and after being crowded near the 100 Metres HAPPY UNITED then raced tight between REWARDING TWINKLE and ACCOLADE START and as a result he could not fully test his mount out to the finish of the event. Trainer J Richards confirmed the instructions issued but advised that HAPPY UNITED had settled slightly further back than what he had expected. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped only fairly. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when it improved close to E UNIVERSE.

Made contact at start, trapped wide in midfield early, moved a bit closer after passing 1600M, 2 lengths or so back in the middle stages, peaked on run 500M, weakened final 400M.

After the event, J Orman stated that his instructions were to obtain an on-pace position preferably with cover. He said when KING GLORIOSO jumped well tonight it raced in a slightly more forward position.

Jumped awkwardly. After the event, A Badel stated that from the outside barrier he was obliged to settle back in the field. He said GIMME FIVE was obliged to race wide and with cover but found it difficult to make up ground when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped awkwardly, made contact with the left side of its barrier and lost ground, positioned 4 to 5 lengths behind the leader on the inside, saved ground on turn, taken wide in straight and finished off well to take a place.

Under pressure in the Home Straight lay in, resulting in its rider L Ferraris having to stop riding and straighten his mount near the 200 Metres.
