Moderately away from gate 1, raced slightly behind midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, no clear run early in straight, made good progress thereafter to take 2nd.

Away with them, raced in midfield on outer, 2 lengths or so back turning in, made good progress early in straight, peaked on run 150M, weakened final 50M.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Trainer P C Ng confirmed that from a wide barrier the instructions were to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages. Held up for clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres. Again near the 100 Metres became held up for clear running behind MASTER TRILLION and could not be ridden out to the finish of the event.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced at tail, 7 lengths back turning in, made no impression in straight.

After the event, M Chadwick advised that his instructions from a wide barrier were to take up a forward position.

Commenced well, raced prominently on the outside, there to turn, peaked early in straight, weakened final 200M.

After the event, Apprentice E C W Wong could offer no explanation for his mount’s failure to finish the race off. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped well, took the early lead, headed 1050M, sat right behind the leader in the middle stages, retook the lead 250M, kept on well but unable to hold off the first two final 25M.

Jumped awkwardly, made contact with the left side of its barrier and became unbalanced. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event and near the 700 Metres was taken wider by MASTER TRILLION.

Jumped with them, raced 2 wide in midfield, there to turn, no clear run early in straight, cleared 150M, ran on evenly to the line.

After the event, H T Mo stated that after being slow to begin his mount became detached from the field despite his efforts to ride it along in the early stages when it did not show sufficient pace to hold its position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
