Slow to begin. Near the 200 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced, resulting in its rider A Atzeni having to stop riding and straighten his mount.

Near the 200 Metres attempted to obtain a run when there was doubtful room and as a result made contact with GLORIOUS SUCCESS, resulting in GLORIOUS SUCCESS being turned in and becoming unbalanced. In this incident, BLESSED NATION was then steadied when crowded between GLORIOUS SUCCESS and SUPERB BOY which shifted out and away from JOHANNES BRAHMS. The Stewards found that the initial contact from BLESSED NATION (M L Yeung) was the principal reason for the incident occurring. M L Yeung was advised to exercise more care and to ensure that there is sufficient room when he is improving into runs.

Moderately away from gate 1, raced in midfield on the inside, saved ground on turn, angled out after passing 500M, finished off evenly.

Taken back from gate 13, raced 3 wide with cover behind midfield, a bit closer on turn, closed off well to take a place without threatening the first two.

Near the 200 Metres, when commencing to give ground, shifted out, was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced, resulting in its rider A Pouchin having to stop riding and correct his mount. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Crowded shortly after start, raced at rear, 8 lengths back in the middle stages, commenced move 550M, very wide into straight, made no progress in the run home.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, EASON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the event, H Bowman reported that his mount raced keenly in the early stages and failed to run on when under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
