Bumped start, raced 2 wide better than midfield, 2 lengths or so back, angled out 450M, very wide entering straight and dropped towards rear, made no impression in the run home.

After the event, B Thompson stated that his instructions were to endeavour to find a position with cover. He said when caught wide in the early stages and unable to comply with those instructions, he allowed TOY SOLTERO to stride forward to avoid covering additional ground and as a result raced outside the lead in a more forward position.

Made contact at start, raced 2 wide behind midfield, sent forward after passing 900M, shared lead on turn, peaked and headed 200M, weakened gradually thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.)

Shortly after the start shifted in and was bumped. Near the 450 Metres was bumped by ILLUMINOUS which shifted out to improve.

Began well, raced behind midfield on the inside, 5 lengths or so back, moved a bit closer along the rail on turn, made good progress early in straight, peaked 100M, ran on evenly to the line. (Lame right front leg next day.)

Made contact at start, raced 2 wide towards rear in the early stages, 3 wide from 800M, 5 lengths back turning in, made good progress in straight to make frame without threatening. (Blood in trachea.)

Jumped only fairly. For some distance near the 150 Metres was held up for clear running.

Jumped with them, raced towards rear on the inside, 2 wide from 850M, 4 lengths back turning in, made good progress early in straight, no extra final 125M.

Began well, sat 1 to 2 lengths behind the leader on rail, angled out 400M, bumped early in straight, took the lead 200M, kept on well but unable to hold off the winner final 100M.

Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when racing tight to the inside of ROCKET SPADE.

Made contact at start, raced in midfield on the inside, 3 lengths or so back, commenced move after passing 450M, bumped early in straight, finished off strongly to score.

Near the 300 Metres improved into a narrow run between SHARPEN BRIGHT and HAMERON and then raced tight between those runners in the Home Straight. Over the concluding stages was steadied when crowded between SHARPEN BRIGHT and HAMERON which was taken in slightly by ROCKET SPADE (H Bowman). H Bowman was advised to exercise more care.

Made contact at start, sent forward to take the lead, led by a length, shared lead with rival from 500M, peaked and headed 400M, weakened final furlong. (See Racing Incidents.)

From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. When placed under pressure in the Home Straight lay in. After the event, Z Purton stated that his mount finished the race off in a satisfactory manner and in the circumstances he was not too disappointed with its performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Jumped only fairly. Near the 450 Metres shifted out and made contact with SHARPEN BRIGHT. Near the 150 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running between SHARPEN BRIGHT and TOY SOLTERO and in this incident made contact with SHARPEN BRIGHT. After the event, J McDonald stated that his mount raced in a disappointing manner and could offer no explanation for its performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.

Shifted out at start and bumped, raced in 2nd, 2 wide, dropped to 3rd 650M, peaked on turn, eased early in straight.
