Began only fairly from gate 1, positioned 4 lengths behind the leader on rail, saved ground throughout, made some progress early in straight, no extra final 150M.

When questioned, Z Purton stated that it was not his intention to hold the position outside the lead, but his focus was to ensure SUPER INFINITY began well as it had had a tendency to be slow into stride. He said after ensuring SUPER INFINITY jumped well today, it settled a little closer in the run than what he had intended. Sent for sampling post-race.

Moderately away, raced 2 wide behind midfield, commenced move 500M, showed very good response in straight, hit the front 200M, kept on well but unable to hold off the winner final 50M, finished 2nd.

Made contact at start, positioned 2 wide, 3 lengths or so back, same margin back on turn, kept on evenly in straight.

Jumped awkwardly and lost ground, raced towards rear, 6 lengths or so back, similar position on turn, finished off very strongly to score.

Near the 100 Metres was steadied to avoid AFFIRM which shifted out before being corrected by its rider L Ferraris. Prior to declaring weighed-in, the Stewards viewed the official patrol films to ascertain if there were grounds for a protest/objection on behalf of ALWAYS FLUKE, placed 6th, against AFFIRM being declared the 4th placegetter. As they were satisfied that there were not sufficient grounds, weighed-in was declared on the numbers semaphored by the Judge.

Made contact at start, raced in 2nd early, positioned 3rd from 1100M, 2 to 3 lengths back in the middle stages, kept on well in straight to take a place, always held.

Shortly after the start was crowded by AFFIRM which shifted in. <16/9/2024 Additional Veterinary Reports>The Veterinary Surgeon reported that OMAKASE was lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, OMAKASE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Noted to have lost its right hind plate after the race.

Began well, raced better than midfield on the outside early, raced in 2nd from 1100M, 2 lengths back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened inside final furlong.

Away well, sent forward to take the lead, led by 2 lengths turning in, kept on well early in straight, peaked and headed 200M, weakened thereafter. (See Racing Incidents.) (Blood in trachea.)

As the start was effected became unbalanced and as a result lost ground. A warning was placed on the barrier manners of the horse.

Taken back from gate 9, raced at rear throughout, never a factor.
