Slightly inconvenienced at start, raced behind midfield on the inside, angled out approaching 500M, showed limited response early in straight, not enough room near 200M, ran on evenly to the line. (Roarer.) (See Racing Incidents.)

Jumped awkwardly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Briefly held up approaching the 300 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race.

Began fairly, raced 2 wide at rear, angled out 650M, very wide into straight, made good progress in the run home to take 2nd, no threat to the winner. (See Racing Incidents.)

After the event, M F Poon stated that his instructions were not to specifically lead, but after commencing well SPICY SPANGLE was able to improve to the front without being pressured to do so. He said in the early stages when his mount was travelling comfortably he allowed it to continue to stride forward rather than breaking its momentum as it was travelling in a comfortable rhythm.

Away well, raced 2 wide better than midfield, 3 lengths back turning in, peaked early in straight, weakened final furlong.

After the event, Apprentice P N Wong stated that the intention was to lead. She said in the early stages when unable to cross SUPER LEGENDS, her mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Taken back from a wide draw, raced towards rear on the inside, saved ground on turn, made some headway in straight.

Shortly after the start was crowded between LUCKY GENERATIONS and GLUCK RACER which was taken out. After the event, A Atzeni stated that after being crowded shortly after the start his mount settled further back than what he had intended. Noted to have lost its right front plate after the race.

Moderately away from gate 11, raced 2 wide behind midfield, 3 wide turning in, finished off evenly.

After the event, C L Chau stated that his mount was able to take up an on-pace position and in the Home Straight did not respond strongly to his riding but he could offer no explanation in respect to its performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Average to begin, raced 2 to 3 wide with cover towards rear, moved a bit closer on turn, very wide into straight, finished off well to take a place without threatening.

Taken back from gate 12, raced in midfield on outer, no cover for the majority of the race, peaked and crowded early in straight, weakened gradually thereafter.

Had its right hind plate refitted in the saddling stalls, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Shifted out at start, raced better than midfield on the inside, easy run to turn, angled out 450M, took the lead approaching 200M, kept on strongly to the line, easily scored.

Bumped start, sent forward to take the lead, challenged by rival turning in, peaked and headed 200M, weakened gradually thereafter.

Shortly after the start was crowded. Leaving the 900 Metres commenced to race keenly. Approaching the 800 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from GLUCK RACER. After the 600 Metres lay out when endeavouring to hold its position to the outside of GLUCK RACER. Near the 350 Metres got its head up and became unbalanced when being steadied to avoid GLUCK RACER (M Chadwick) which shifted out. M Chadwick was advised to exercise more care. After the event, H Bowman could offer no explanation for his mount’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Bumped start, raced at rear on the outside, 9 lengths back turning in, made no impression in straight.
